Walkthrough:

1. Tap the gate. Pick up the rock and take the key.

2. Go back and use the key on the locked gate to open it. Go through the gate.

3. Notice the time on the clock. Tap on the lion to zoom in on it. Pick up the red Bottle of Strength from the water to the right of it.

4. Go back and cross the bridge. Tap on the small shack to the left. Pick up the green Bottle of Spirit. Also pick up the Chain Hook.

20140116-143811.jpg

5. Go back to the lion and use the chain hook on the lever to the left and the pillars will turn into a bridge. There’s a puzzle here that’s pretty simple. Just press the buttons to rotate each ring, so they match up. Start from the outside one and work your way in. You’ll get a key at the end.

20140116-144247.jpg

6. Go back to the small shack (Scene 3) where you found the hook and use the key to open the chest. Take the Citrine Crystal from inside.

20140116-144604.jpg

7. Go up to the cathedral. Take the blue Bottle of Honor from under the right window.

8. Above the door is a slot that fits the Citrine Crystal. Place it in there and press the buttons in this order to solve the puzzle (based on the clock you saw): Upper left, Bottom left, upper left. Now it will mimic the clock hands and unlock the door.

9. Enter the cathedral.

10. Pour the three different liquids by the corresponding colored crystals. Telvonus will wake up.

I can’t seem to see any of the walkthrough past no.37. I need to know how to open the door to the mausoleum just a little further on. I’ve tried umpteen different colour combinations for the centre of the four pillars but none work! Can’t progress, please help!!

  2. William Cawlfield

This also stopped me for a while. DonΓÇÖt over-think this. Look at the door and you see a pattern of horizontal and vertical colored symbols. For instance, on the left you see a red square and under that is a red circle and under that is the blue square. You also see a horizontal pattern of red square, yellow circle and a blue square. You see a same type of patterns on the right page.
Go back to the pillars and look for a matching pattern. Each pillar is unique in its color pattern. So, the first pillar on the left has a horizontal pattern of a red square, a (undefined colored) circle, and a blue square. You will see such a pattern on the page which shows the center color as yellow.

Follow that same logic on the other three pillars. For instance the second pillar has a vertical pattern with a red square and a blue square….the center circle is red. So, use this to put a red circle in pillar 2.

You can then use this scheme to figure out the other two pillars.

    1. Tom Rune

I feel incredibly stupid here, but I still can’t make it work. If I’ve understood correctly, the top left pillar should have a red flower in the middle, the lower left one a yellow flower, the top right a green flower, and the lower right a blue flower. Correct? Maybe I’ve misunderstood the moving “wheels” on the pillars. They’re supposed to be turned so that the symbol on them (i.e a star) is next to the color that this same symbol has on one of the other pillars? Or am I completely at sea?

  3. Bill

I forgot to mention in the above post that Jacob loves patterns and colors. Sometimes together and sometimes not. As you progress, you will see his style. I can certainly give you the exact colors on the pillars, but in other puzzles further in, it is not a simple color walkthrough. A hint. You will see further in two dragons that change colors and a series of dot patterns. You can generate a color dragon by changing the dots. Then you can lock-in that color by clicking on the dragon’s eye and can then change the dots without affecting the color. This together with Jacob’s hints should get you through.

  4. Tom Rune

I’m usually not this daft when it comes to puzzle games, but apparently I am at the moment. Are you saying that I’ll need to somehow lock in the combination on each pillar before I move on to the next one? In that case, I can’t find any interactive spots on the screen in question apart from the central flower and the moving “wheel”.

  5. Bill

No. The hint on the dragons comes later. The middle colors are as follows 1 is yellow. 2 is red. 3 is green. 4 is blue. Make sure that the white symbol is lined up with the symbol that is fixed in position. I have screen shots, but I am not sure that the symbols are always in the same position.

  6. Bill

For example. The white moon symbol should be rotated to line up with the yellow star. But, the rotating symbols that need to line up do not always match the color of the center color. Do not let that fool you.

  7. Tom Rune

I hear you. And I really appreciate the help. But I’ve been doing exactly that, putting the central flowers in the colors you mentioned, and lining up the white symbols. But it still doesn’t work:-( I’m beginning to suspect a bug. Especially since another one threw me off at the very beginning of the game and made me start over.

  8. Bill

I rushing through the game again to see what might have changed.

  9. Tom Rune

Wow, that’s incredibly nice of you. Thank you so much.

  10. Bill

OK. I have done it twice to make sure. My ASUS has an app backup that functions like ” save game”. When you get to a pillar, look at the position of the fixed symbol. It is adjacent to one of the 4 outside colored “petals”. Rotate your white symbol to be adjacent to that color. The color of the fixed symbol is not important at this time….only the color of the petal it is adjacent to. Then choose the center color. Let me know if that helps.

  11. Tom Rune

Not quite, but your help made me realize what I’ve been doing wrong. The “fixed” symbols aren’t fixed after all:-) They move when you move the corresponding white symbol. Figuring that out, I was able to break it:-) Thank you:-)

  12. Bill

Yes, i made a mistake. One points the rotating symbol at the colored symbol’s color of the outside petal. When all is done, the fixed symbol is then lined up with the correct colored petal. My bad. That so-called fixed symbol rotates on its own when all is good and you come back to it. I need more coffee.

  13. Bill

The old axiom of reading twice before posting once. I promise in the future to do that.

  14. Tom Rune

Still, it’s very nice of you to go through this trouble for a complete stranger over the internet. Thank you so much:-)

  15. Bill

You should be able to get through the portals. The next real tricky one will be the two dragons that I alluded to on an earlier post. I will try to be better next time

  16. Tom Rune

Just finished it. Looks like we might get yet another one:-)

  17. Bill

The only that I see that is new is Cryptic Cosmos that is not out yet. Try Cryptic Caverns and Cryptic Keep. Cryptic Caverns is the hardest of these two.

  18. Bill

Tom. Are you using Apple or an Android tablet. As a rule an iPad version comes out a few days or weeks later.

  19. Bill

    Ipad version is earlier. Sigh!………
    i

  20. Tom Rune

I’m playing it on my iPhone. And yes, I realize that no official new game has been announced, I just thought the ending hinted pretty strongly that another sequel will arrive.

  21. Mechelle

Still having trouble with this one, turn wheel first or last ?
On the dragon eye puzzle ?

    1. Bill

I see that we are now getting more screen shots. That sure helps!

Regarding the dragons. Like the previous puzzles, look at the colors of the dragons. You can change the color by going up to the scroll and taping the scroll to generate dots. On the left scroll it can either be none, one, two, or three in a vertical column. You can go up to the right scroll and tap on it to be another series of combinations. With either scroll, when you back up, you will see that the dragon color has changed. This is the method of changing both the left and right dragon colors.

Then, take a look at the center left stack of three blocks. Each block has a left and right color AND a symbol.

Then you go to the rotating wheel and see how many dots represent each symbol. This will be useful later but not right now.

So, we go back to the column and start with the top block. Blue on the left and yellow on the right with a symbol in the middle. Back up to the scroll on the left and enter a series of dots until you get a blue dragon. You then click on the dragon and an eye will light up that locks that color. You can then go back to the scroll and change the dots without changing the dragon color. You need this function in a bit. You then go over to the right scroll and click on it and back away until you get a green dragon. Again, click on the dragon to get an eye that locks the color.

Then go to the stack of blocks and take note of the symbol. Go over to the rotating wheel and you will see the same symbol…. that in this case has two upper dots. Go back to the right scroll and click on it until you get the same upper two dots. Go over to the right scroll and click on it until no dots are shown. If you back up, you will then see a blue dragon on the left and a green dragon on the right. The scroll on the right will show two upper dots. Then go the blocks and tap on the upper block. The symbol will be highlighted!
You then repeat the same sequence on the second and third blocks, dots, and dragons. When all three symbols on the block stack are lit, a door will open and a key will appear!

Pictures would help, but try these instructions.

      1. AppUnwrapper

Thanks, Bill. I’m using your description since you said it so well. Still working on the screenshots, though.

  22. Rebecca

I finally managed to get past this one and funnily enough I found the dragon puzzle fairly straightforward, after a little trial and error! I am now in the shrine room (with the four figurines, and the scroll on the wall). I think I understand that I am supposed to light a light and then press the corresponding circles on the scroll before pressing the centre of the shrine to lock it in. No matter what combo I do, I can only seem to keep one light lit. Does anyone have any tips? 🙂

  23. Tom Rune

Well, you are correct in what you’re supposed to do, so keep on trying on that track;-)

    1. sheila

I have followed the process exactly but cannot light the final light. I have the right circles in red on the scroll but whenever I press the centre light it then turns off my last light. I e tried it a million times now, I can’t see what I am doing wrong on this one when all the others worked. Help!

      1. Bill

Which light is your last light that is giving you problems?

        1. Sheila

The bottom left one as you look at it

          1. Bill

It is the top left dot on the scroll that needs to be lit.

The auther has created a You Tube total walkthrough. Do a search.

  24. Bill

The trick is to realize that you may need to light up TWO dots on the scroll. You can get the correct dot locations to light by first clicking on the figurines and then go over to the scroll and you will see what that figurine represents in dot position by the star pattern. Take note. There are two figurines that indicate two dots that need to be lit. These are the two right ones. Try that hint.

  25. Rebecca

I’ll give it another try, thanks guys! 😉

  26. Bill

Use my descriptions if they help………and they are correct….LOL

A bit of clarity on the figurines/scroll link. The two lights on the left side require only a single dot on the scroll. One for each of the lights of course. You have to repeat the procedure for each of the 4 lights to stay lit. The two lights on the right side require TWO dots to be filled in.

  27. Rebecca

    I finished it!

I finally realised where I was going wrong with the shrine puzzle. I was leaving all the circles lit on the scroll as I was going along, thinking that I had to eventually have that all lit up aswell as the shrine! As soon as I cottoned on to turn the last circles white before turning new ones red, I had it done in two minutes, Doh!

Thanks for the help though 😉

    1. Zack

I was doing the same mistake! Thanks 🙂

  28. Bill

Good for you! We should make sure that all folks know that with each new light setting that the scroll needs to be cleared of all previous dot or dots.

  29. jordyn

I cant get any of the reds lights to stay lit at all??

    1. AppUnwrapper

After you press the center button and they’re all flashing, you new to press the figurine that’s diagonal to the light you’re trying to light up. Otherwise it won’t work.

      1. jordyn

        Thank You it worked!

  30. jordyn

Dont know why I keep getting stuck …. any hints on the lantern wall puzzle i cant get the safe to open to reveal the other switch and Im doing just what walkthrough says?

  31. jordyn

    Nevermind got it ty

  32. Vspivak

I am following the instructions for the left side lantern puzzle exactly. The screen shot on this page and my game look identical! The small safe will not open. Is there something I could be missing?

    1. AppUnwrapper

I played with the left side a bit before I realized the lever was revealed, so it’s possible that i did something else to get it to open.
The key it to make sure the symbols match the colors that you see when you pull on the lanterns. Other than that, try moving every other one to the opposite side. Those are things I did before realizing it was open.
      Hope that helps!

      1. gypsy

The 2 left lantern symbols must be on the left and slide the other 2 across to the right. To open the safe for the left side puzzle.

  33. Carolyn

Im stuck on the scroll puzzle. I’ve tried all the hints. All I can get is one light lit. Im getting so aggravated. I need step by step instructions or something. I’ve done all the other cryptic games and ain’t never had this kind of trouble. Please help.

  34. Laura

Same as above, the scroll puzzle does not seem to work. I can get two lights lit, the top two, and nothing on the bottom. I have tried many things and nothing is happening. I think we need a step by step with screen shots, like really step by step for each light. Whatever I am doing is not working.

  35. amit

you guys must to do a video for 64(the board with the red dots)
it’s impassable for me. just two red dots are light and i don’t know how i did it.
so please if anyone can upload video on youtube for this i’ll be very happy. i’m stuck there for over two weeks

i love these kind of games

  36. Mari-jo

I’m still having difficulties with the scroll puzzle. I can get the two top lights to light up but no matter what I try the bottom two don’t seem to work. Any help would be great love the games. Keep them coming.

  37. stephanie

I am playing on my Android g2x phone and like many before me I am stuck at the pillars outside the mausoleum. I have read all the posts but the only thing that moves or rotates is the white symbol and the color of the flower.I have tried over and over and am having no luck! Is this perhaps a glitch?

    1. Bill

I understand the problem. The SPOILER is to simply copy the 4 pictures on post 51. If you count the 4 columns, left to right, then set the 4 flowers to yellow, red, green, blue.

Point the rotating white symbols to the outside color of yellow, red, blue, green.

FYI….all of this information is coded into the door panels in either color and/position.

  38. naomi canuto

Stuck in the zen garden. Put in correct symbols and what looked to me like the right colours. Nothing. Tried colours that with a little imagination might be seen as right colours still nothing. What am i doing wrong. Would you please try and help me?

  39. naomi canuto

Still stuck. on zen garden. When i first tried a combination i think the floer may have lit up but usually when i tap the flower it just changes the colours of the symbols. Love this game but this is driving me nuts! Plese please help me regain some semblence of sanity.

    1. bill

The zen garden is not that hard after you do it once……….LOL.
I have discovered that you do not have to look are the back pillar at all! At least on the latest version.

First notice that we have three pillars with different shape ΓÇ£flowersΓÇ¥ in the globe. Each pillar has a unique color.

Knowing that, go to the middle shard and you will see at the top a flower shape. Let us start working on the pillar on the left which is blue. In the middle shard, click on the top flower to match the shape of the flower on the top of the left pillar. There are two dots on the middle shard that move up and down depending on what shape flower you have selected. In the case, it is the one at the top. There are three symbols to look at. The middle symbol is a CIRCLE. Tap on that circle until it is blue to match the color of the left pillar. Notice that the symbol above the circle is what I call the ΓÇ£upΓÇ¥ symbol. Underneath the circle is what I call the ΓÇ£leftΓÇ¥ symbol.

Go back to the pillar on the left. Tap the center ring until you get a CIRCLE. Tap the upper ring until you get an ΓÇ£UPΓÇ¥ symbol. Tap on the lower ring until you get a ΓÇ£LEFTΓÇ¥ symbol.

Once that is done, start tapping on the upper globe and you will notice that the colors of these symbols are changing. Keep tapping until the globe really glows blue!

Then move on the other two pillars on the right.

      1. bill

I wish for an edit button.

“I have discovered that you do not have to look are the back pillar at all!”

        Typo…………sigh

I have discovered that you do not have to look AT the back pillar at all!

  40. naomi canuto

Thank you very much. So that’s what I was doing wrong! Not changing the colour of the shape in the middle pillar. Doh! Sorry, it actually does say that in the above walkthrough. I feel like a doofus for missing it. Thanks again. Do you know if this adventure continues in another game for Android?

    1. bill

He is working on another “sequel” that will be called Cryptic Cosmos. It should be out sometime in August? Both iPad and Android.

  41. susan kaiser

Like others, having probs with scroll puzzle. Have 3 lit just need top left. Didn’t want to follow yours or my instructions. Good to know to erase previous efforts. Love this type of game. Do I light top left light first, then scroll top right as starred. Or reversed. Or none of the above. Only one to go to continue game.

    1. bill

The quick answer is to tap the lower left circle on the scroll making it red. There is a rationale for this, but the quickie answer is just to make the lower left red. You have done all the rest of them.

  42. susan kaiser

Ok. Got it 🙂 the so much

    1. susan kaiser

      Should say thx. Oops 🙂

  43. Rebecca

The safe won’t open even though I’ve followed step by step several times.

    1. Julia

Me too. I know that I need to do something with the sliding panels but when? After I line up the colored rectangles or before? Bee at this for days. I got it to work once so I know it can be done but I don’t know how I did it. Help!!

  44. Rebecca

Stuck on the dragons. I can’t get the symbols to light and can’t understand the instructions.

  45. Jerry Schull

Where is the cathedral? I go past little s!hack and there is large fortress. No slot above door and no blue bottle.

    1. Julia

The building past the shack is the cathedral. The blue bottle is in the bushes to the right. You have to solve the puzzle over the door to get inside. For that you need the shard in the chest in the shack. That is what the key is for.

  46. Jerry Schull

I can’t get to puzzle by tapping above arch
