Hi everyone! It’s been a super busy week with lots of games to cover, so I’m going to make this intro brief. As you know by now, this is My Week Unwrapped, where I talk about all the games I’ve been playing over the past week. Enjoy! And don’t forget the sales on the last page.

Note: The embedded videos are overloading these posts. I’m trying something new this week, putting each game on its own page. Click the links at the bottom of each page to get to the next and please let me know if you encounter any problems with this new system.

Bertram Fiddle: Episode 2: A Bleaker Predicklment

I found the first episode of Bertram Fiddle quite entertaining, so I kicked a few dollars towards Rumpus Animation’s Kickstarter back when they were funding the second episode. I knew the game didn’t sell as well as expected and I wanted to do my part to make sure the adventures of Victorian England’s finest explorator didn’t stop there. After a long wait that included many delays, Bertram Fiddle: Episode 2: A Bleaker Predicklment has finally released on iOS and PC, with Android to follow soon. I wrote a little preview here after I completed the second chapter. I’ve since made much more progress and am on chapter 5. You can see my walkthrough for it here. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it despite some silly bugs like Bertram’s head disappearing at one point. It’s even punnier than the first game and the puzzles have forced me to think a bit without making me want to give up. There’s tons of lovable characters like Lord Wretchedly and Professor Scuttleworth, and even a rabid sheep. I’m so eager to continue with the story and find out what happens. Unfortunately, I hit a game-breaking bug that’s forced me to stop and wait for an update before I can finish the game. I’m very sad about this, but optimistic the game will be fixed in a timely manner so I can finish it and write a proper review. So I can’t recommend it in its current state, but once it’s fixed, I absolutely do based on the chapters I’ve completed so far. You can see some gameplay in my video of Chapter 1 below.
