Hi everyone, and welcome to my weekly roundup called My Week Unwrapped. You may have noticed that I'm posting this on Monday instead of the weekend. That's because I usually end up rushing Sunday night to finish it up. So I'm giving Monday a test run to see if it works better for me. Let me know what you think! Anyway, it's been a very busy week with several walkthroughs and reviews. Some really good games to talk about. And make sure to scroll down to the sales at the bottom, as there are some Read more [...]

Play NYC Highlights: ‘Unavowed,’ ‘Linelight,’ ‘Otis,’ and More

Yesterday, I decided last-minute to check out the first ever Play NYC convention in New York. While most games were for PC or console, I did find some mobile games and their developers, as well as some games that could potentially come to mobile in the future. I'm not going to talk about everything I saw, but I did want to discuss some highlights. First off, I got to play the demo of Wadjet Eye's upcoming point-and-click adventure, Unavowed and chatted a bit with developer Dave Gilbert. I really Read more [...]

Interview: How ‘Linelight’ Was Adapted For Mobile

Linelight By: BT Productions (My Dog Zorro) I recently reviewed the near-perfect puzzler, Linelight, and was so blown away by how well it was adapted from PC and consoles to mobile devices and touchscreens, so I decided to pick the developer, Brett Taylor's, brain a bit about how he made the magic happen. Hi everyone! AppUnwrapper here again with more of My Week Unwrapped, where I cover all the games I've been playing over the last seven days. I took some time this week to be with family from out of town and visited a sad aquarium with a pretty cool sea lion show. Still, I managed to play quite a few games. There are some truly great games below, so don't miss out on them! Linelight I spent almost a full three days of this week playing through My Dog Zorro's stylish puzzler, Linelight, and then Read more [...]

‘Linelight’ iOS Review: This Engrossing Puzzler Deserves the Limelight

Linelight By: BT Productions (My Dog Zorro) I heard about Brett Taylor's (aka My Dog Zorro) minimalistic puzzler, Linelight, briefly when it arrived on PC earlier this year. It looked interesting, but since I don't have much patience for playing on my PC, I forgot all about it. I didn't even know that the developer was porting it over to mobile until I saw it available in the App Store this week. I still didn't know that much about it, but it got a lot of praise on other platforms and $1.99 is Read more [...]
