‘Sidewords’ Review: Not Your Average Word Game

Sidewords By: Milkbag Games Every once in a while, I look at the App Store and notice another mediocre word game near the top of the charts. I've given these games a chance, in case I was missing out on something. I like a good word game, as I still play Zach Gage's Typeshift daily. But these free games that get tons of downloads are all overly simplified and probably auto-generated, since there are hundreds -- even thousands -- of levels. My Week Unwrapped: March 25, 2017

I'm a few hours late (read: half a day) with My Week Unwrapped because I was busy playing games late last night. Hopefully it isn't too confusing keeping the Saturday date at the top! I'm still catching up from the last few weeks of games, as well as some new ones. It's a really, really good time to be an iOS gamer. Anyway, if you like quality games that let you play and don't constantly nag you for more money, this is a good week for you. So, without Read more [...]

Typeshift By: Zach Gage Zach Gage's Typeshift is the latest addition to Apple's indie game showcase that's been in progress for about a week. I got it a few days early and, even though I'm playing about fifteen games at the moment, I keep getting pulled back to this one. The game's stats tell me I've invested over five hours into the game already! It's especially good for winding down in bed, and I know it's time to shut off my phone and call it a night when I'm unable to think of any words. Basically, Read more [...]
