STAY: Are you there? – Complete Walkthrough Guide and Puzzle Solutions

Chapter 18, Puzzle 9, Map and Compass:

For this puzzle, look at the piece of paper to the left. Notice that there are Roman numerals at the top. The other five lines are numbers in different languages.

The top is Chinese, then Greek, then Arabic, then Devanagari. The last one seems to be gibberish from what I can tell, but you can solve the puzzle with just four. So next, look at the circled numbers. Make your way from 1 to 5 and you get this order:

1. Devanagari – India

2. North America (process of elimination)

3. Greek – Greece

4. Arabic – Egypt/Middle East

5. Chinese – China

Also, notice the red N with an arrow pointing up. It’s telling you that you always need to point the compass North.

So first, rotate the ruler so the white line connects India to North America. Point the compass north and press the button.

Next, rotate the ruler so it points from North America to Greece. Rotate the compass so it points North and press the button.

Next, rotate the ruler so it points from Greece to Egypt, or the Middle East. Rotate the compass so it points North and press the button.

And last, rotate the ruler so it points from Egypt to China. Rotate the compass so it points North and press the button. If you did everything correctly, the four lights will turn green and you’ll pass the puzzle.
