Stranger Things 3: The Game – Walkthrough Guide

Stranger Things 3: The Game
By: BonusXP

Stranger Things 3: The Game is the official game of the Netflix series that follows the third season. If you haven’t seen the show yet, this will spoil it, so I recommend watching it first. There’s a lot of puzzles in the game, as well as hidden items like gnomes. So this walkthrough guide will help you if you get stuck. It’s a work in progress, so please bear with me. Feel free to ask for extra help in the comments section.

Note: This is my first playthrough, so bear with me. I may replay it once I complete it 100% for more streamlined videos.

See my Gnomes Locations guide.

Walkthrough:

Chapter 1, Suzie, Do You Copy?:

Gnomes Found:

1 Johnny
2 Christine
4 Indiana
9 David
27 Falco

Chapter 2, The Mall Rats:

For the library, when you get to the point with the two codes — like Off On On Off Off — you need to use each for the opposite side. That will open the door in the center where the Russian dictionary is found.

Boss: Doris Driscoll

Doris is invulnerable with the lights off. Use one of your characters to flip both switches and turn the lights on. They’ll turn off after a while, so get as much damage in as you can and then turn them on again when they go off. Repeat this until she’s down, making sure to heal when necessary. If any character dies, you have to restart the battle.

Gnomes Found:

6 Elvis
7 Jack
10 Baskin
11 McDonald
15 Denver
37 Magnum
38 Clara

hello. can you please tell me where I find the ice cream scoop for steve’s upgrade and the squeakingtoy for ericas upgrade?

    1. Bryan Danek

Squeaky toy can be bought at the vendor at the fair

      1. Alex

        Thank you. 🙂

  2. Melissa

How the hell do you beat Grigori??

  3. Jeff Kramer

Can someone please tell me how to beat Tom and the other guy in the Hospital to save Mrs. Driscoll? They connect to each other telepathically and restore all health before I can kill them.

ThatΓÇÖs where I stopped playing. I found it too hard to keep them apart on my own. It felt like that boss battle was meant for two players. The AI is not helpful enough.

      1. Jeff Kramer

Thanks. I have not played multiplayer. Can you get someone else to play one of the characters just to get through the battle, or do you need to start over.

        1. Tim

This part was tough for me too but finally got it. After you start battling them, an exclamation mark appears at the bottom of the screen. Walk towards that, and then you can easily ward them off from the bottom of the screen (it should get only take 10 seconds or so).

i need to give chet his shake but it wont let me

    1. Amy

I’m having the same issue. I cant get the laxative from the guy at the store – even though I clearned out the backroom from rats. Do you know what chapter that happens in?

  5. Amy

Can someone tell me how to get the special shake to give Chet or at least what chapter it’s in from the above videos? I think I’m missing the laxative. Any help would be appreciated.

    1. Sue

You need to talk to Robin, she’ll ask you to get her laxatives and a shake mix and she’ll make it for you 😀

  6. UnicornGForce

Does anyone know about the computer in Dustins room? It says “you’re in a dark labyrinth” and choose a direction. I get eaten by a grub no matter what, is there a way to win the little computer game?

      1. Choose the option that is still highlighted (south, I think?).
      2. It should tell you youΓÇÖve reached a dead end.
      3. Choose the option to go back
      4. Repeat, from step 1. Keep repeating, and eventually the game calls you a moron and tells you how to get out, whereupon Dustin humorously calls the game ΓÇ£intuitiveΓÇ¥.
