My Week Unwrapped: December 23, 2022 – Vampire Survivors, Kentucky Route Zero and More

Hi everyone, and welcome back to My Week Unwrapped, where I discuss all the games I’ve been playing over the last seven days. Once again, I spent the bulk of my time playing Vampire Survivors. But now I beat the current content, so I should have time for other games. This isn’t a big roundup, but I’m working on my Game of the Year List, so bear with me during this time of year. Anyway, let’s begin.

Vampire Survivors

Aside from a few bugs I’ve encountered, I’ve had quite a ride with Vampire Survivors. There’s just so much content to unlock that I never even felt the grind. The game especially opened up for me when I discovered the secrets, including the items necessary to kill death. I now got through everything and unlocked all the characters except for the two that need either a keyboard or a cheat code. I’m now just patiently waiting for the DLC to come to iOS, since I don’t really see anything else to do now. I highly recommend grabbing it, though, for the low, low price of free.

Kentucky Route Zero

I played through third third act of Kentucky Route Zero and I’m still enjoying its quirkiness. I do have a lot of questions that will hopefully be answered over time. I also hit a couple of annoying bugs, but managed to get around them. This weekend we’re supposed to have a bad storm, so it should be the perfect time to try and finish the game. I’ll definitely have more impressions for you once I do.

Genshin Impact

And last, I finished the weird brick breaker event in Genshin Impact. The story was fun, even if it did drag on a bit. I also played through the latest archon quest and found that story to be quite confusing. Besides that, we just started the third Windtrace event today and I’m thrilled to see it return. It’s one of my favorite events and I hope to spend some quality time with it. Other than that, I’m just saving my primogems to try and get Homa in 3.4 and then Dehya in 3.5, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to get both. We’ll see how lucky I get with Homa, I guess.

And that’s everything I’ve been up to this week. I’m still watching For All Mankind and made it into the second season. It’s definitely an interesting thought experiment, where all out technology advances a lot faster because we were in a constant space race with the Russians. Anyway, let me know in the comments which games you’re enjoying and I’ll see you back here next time with more of My Week Unwrapped!
