Adventure Escape Mysteries – Canine Cases

Haiku Games is back with a new Adventure Escape game, and this time you’re helping a dog named Nitro. He may look like an ordinary dog, but Nitro’s actually a seasoned private investigator. When a supermodel’s assistant mysteriously disappears, Nitro and his human partner Alex are on the job. With the help of expert witnesses like a goldfish and a squirrel, they’re sure to solve the case. This walkthrough guide should help you if you get stuck on any of the puzzles in Chapter 2 of Canine Cases. Feel free to ask for extra help in the comments section.

1. We’re now at Millfield College, Emily’s college dorm, to look for clues. Thankfully, they allow dogs. There’s even one guarding the front desk! Talk to the chihuahua named Biscuit. He won’t tell you where Emily’s room is, so we’ll have to look around on our own. First, talk to the squirrel to learn he wants some nuts. Then move the book aside and grab the coin. Use the coin in the vending machine. Take the trail mix from the vending machine and place it in the bowl. The squirrel will go to it, distracting the chihuahua.

2. Now we can access the bulletin board behind the desk and also the computer. First, grab the keycard from the bulletin board. Then look at the computer and solve the puzzle by making an image of Biscuit. You need to tap the blue nodes to rotate the tiles around them until all the pieces match up and form the image. There’s two puzzles to solve. I made videos for each.

3. Look at the email. It tells you the room number of each of the volunteers and the tasks they completed. You can use this together with the photo on the bulletin board and Emily’s ID card to find her room number. She has blond hair and blue glasses and you can see in the photo that she was bathing a dog. So she’s in room 303. Also, notice the visitor access code is 894.

4. Use the keycard to open the elevator and then get in. Don’t go to the third floor yet because the doors are all locked. Instead, go to the 4th floor. While there, knock over the trash bin and grab the recycling flyer. Notice all the plastic bottles that were in the bin. Also, find the fish food and ripped paper.

5. Next, go to the 2nd floor. The squirrel is here again. He’ll help you get into Emily’s room if you tell him the room number and visitor access code. So tell him 303 and then 894. Then he’ll give drop Emily’s spare key for you. Pick it up.

6. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and use the key to unlock the door to room 303. Head inside.

7. Nitro notices that the room smells a lot like Stella. That seems suspicious. First, open the cabinet and get more fish food. Move the stuffed fish to get another ripped paper. There’s also a box under the bed with a note inside from someone. It says:

“Emily,
Meet me at the Scarlet Petals Flower Shop if you want to know the truth.”

8. There’s also another fish food in the box. Take a look at the locked jewelry box on the desk to see a note that says, “Hope you change your mind.” Then talk to Bob the goldfish to learn that you need five different fish foods and instructions for how to feed it. So we’re missing one and the instructions.

9. Go back to the elevator and take it to the 5th floor. Have Nitro eat the sandwich and then take the ripped paper that was under it. Place all three pieces of ripped paper on the wall and then note down the numbers of all the green dormitory rules. You end up with 124689. Enter that on the storage room door to open it and take the scooper and fish food from inside.



10. Go back to the 3rd floor and use the scooper to reach the object in the tree. It’s a nutrition poster. If you look at it, it tells you what to feed the fish each day of the week. And you can figure out what day it is by looking at the recycling flyer. We knocked over the can earlier and saw plastic bottles, so that means it’s Tuesday.

11. Go back to room 303 and place all the fish food containers by the fish tank. Then feed the fish in the right order: Yellow, Purple, Green, Blue, Red.

12. The fish’s memory comes back and it turns out that Emily threw her necklace out the window on the day she disappeared. Nitro goes looking for it, which means another puzzle. This one is similar to the pepperoni puzzle from Chapter 1. You need to create one continuous scent trail using all the trail segments. I made a video for you.

13. Now we have the necklace and are back in Emily’s room. Place the necklace on the jewelry box to open it and see that Frederick paid Emily off for something.

14. Stella and Frederick meet you back at your office. Read through the dialogue and complete the chapter.
