Adventure Escape Mysteries – Canine Cases

Haiku Games is back with a new Adventure Escape game, and this time you’re helping a dog named Nitro. He may look like an ordinary dog, but Nitro’s actually a seasoned private investigator. When a supermodel’s assistant mysteriously disappears, Nitro and his human partner Alex are on the job. With the help of expert witnesses like a goldfish and a squirrel, they’re sure to solve the case. This walkthrough guide should help you if you get stuck on any of the puzzles in Chapter 4 of Canine Cases. Feel free to ask for extra help in the comments section.

1. It looks like Timothy the butler has kidnapped Emily. Nitro and Emily think he may have taken her to Scarlet Petals farm, so that’s where we are. Talk to the horse to learn that Timothy went to the greenhouse and left him there with a broken wagon. He offers to give you a ride there if you fix the wagon for him. First, take the strap tying him to the tree. Then, find the key under the rock.
2. Use the key to unlock the mailbox and then take the binoculars from inside.
3. Use the strap to reach the metal bar and break it off.
4. Use the metal bar to reach the garden shears behind the gate.
5. Use the garden shears to cut through the vines on the gate.
6. Now we have access to a puzzle but we need more information for it. Use the binoculars to see the flowers on the other side of the gate. Notice there’s 2 rows of blue, 1 orange, 3 yellow and 6 pink. We need to use that information to solve the flower petals puzzle. It goes together with the information on the gate. Notice the name SCARLET PETALS and a certain number of flowers under each letter. So this is how it works. Blue has 2 rows of flowers, so look at the gate and find the two letters with 2 flowers under them. You get S and S. Then rotate the letters on the blue flowers so that S is in both dark circles. Then do the same for orange, but find the letters with 1 flower under them. You get C and L. So in the end you get:
Blue = S S
Orange = C L
Yellow = R T
Pink = L E
7. Take the wagon wheel and attach it to the wagon.
8. We still need a map because the horse doesn’t know the way. You can find it under the wagon. Then give it to the horse and he’ll set off.
9. You need to give the horse directions to the greenhouse. So first, look at the map and plan out your path. Then give the horse directions. It goes:
Middle, Left, Right, Left, Right, Middle, Middle, Left, Left, Right, Right, Middle, Right
10. We’re now at the greenhouse and Biff the dog is guarding it. He’s not super friendly. Talk to the prairie dog. He says he can tunnel under the greenhouse and open it for you, but he can’t leave until his friend is safe from Biff. So we have to help him. First, grab the phone charger. Also, use the garden shears on the plant in the wagon and then take it. Knock down another plant and then take that one and the brush. Also, pull out the locked box that’s hidden behind the wagon.
11. Use the brush to clean off the solar panel and then look at the table. Use the phone charger to plug in the phone. Nitro will then bring you a screwdriver he found. Use it to open the battery compartment at the top and take the battery. The phone needs to charge, so we’ll come back to it later.
12. Use the screwdriver to pry open the crate and get another plant. Now we have all three, so place them on the shelves with the rest.
13. The phone is charged now, so go back to the table and turn it on. Slide to unlock it and then read the message from Tim’s dad. Press the back arrow to go back to the Home Screen. Then open the QR code reader and take the cell phone with you. Before you leave, notice the seeds on the table. We’ll need that in a bit.
14. Go back to the potted plants and use the cell phone’s QR reader on them. Identify each of them and then use the information from the seed packets to see whether they want full sun, full shade, or partial shade. Then use all that information to solve the puzzle on the locked chest and open it. So you end up with:

15. There’s a mini drone inside. Open the battery compartment and place the battery inside. Then grab the mini drone.
16. Use the drone to get the squeaky toy from the greenhouse roof.
17. Throw the squeaky toy to Biff so he runs off. Then look inside the hole the two prairie dogs made.
18. Now we have to solve the tunnels puzzle by helping the prairie dogs navigate the tunnels. Swipe in any direction to move the prairie dogs. One will move in the direction you swiped and the other will move in the opposite direction. Avoiding the holes, guide the prairie dogs until they end up together at the exit area below the metal grate. I made a video if you’re stuck. And here’s the step-by-step instructions:

19. Now you’re inside the greenhouse. Grab the rake. Also, pull out the box and open it to get a video game cartridge. There’s also a pipe wrench on the desk by the TV. Pull the ladder to the left and then turn the two valves that are accessible now. Use the garden shears to clear off the vines from the ladder. You can now climb up and reach the cuckoo clock, but we don’t know what time to set it to yet. Also, look at the sink and grab the garden fork.
20. Use the rake to rake up the leaves and then pick up the knob. Use the garden fork to lift up the loose bricks.
21. Turn the last valve that was under the loose brick. Then look at the sink again and this time turn on the water. The cube goes down the drain. Use the wrench to remove the pipe and then grab the cube.
22. Tap on the TV and place the knob where it should be. Also, insert the game cartridge into the console. The TV is on channel 1. Notice the two birds. There’s a big one and a little one. Pay attention to where their beaks are pointing. Then change the channel to 2 and notice the game of snake. Count the circles, triangles and diamonds. We’ll use that in a bit.

23. Now go to the clock and change the hour hand to 9 and the minute hand to 2, like the birds on the TV. Three birds will pop out from the top. They each have 1, 2 or 3 feathers on their head and they’re coming out of holes with different shapes on them. Note them down.

24. Now, tap on the puzzle to the left of the silver door. Insert the cube in the empty slot. Push the cubes until all the lines form a continuous path. Then follow each path from the circle, triangle and diamond to different fish. Count the yellow stripes on the fish you end up with. So it goes:
Circle = 4
Triangle = 2
Diamond = 3
25. Now tap on the silver door and use all the information we found from the fish puzzle, the clock and the snake game to unlock it. It goes:

26. Emily comes out and then Timothy shows up. He runs off to try and escape. Now we have to solve one last puzzle to solve. It’s a scent trail puzzle again, but this time there are two trails — one for Timothy and one for Biff. I made a video for you.
Now just watch the ending! Congratulations! You saved Emily and caught the criminal.
For anyone that gets stuck on the greenhouse maze, since the walkthrough isn’t complete yet, it is Straight, left, right, left, right, straight, straight, left, left, right, right, straight, right. The mal is a bit irritating, with the way it is drawn, but treat each intersection as a LSR, no matter which path is directly in front of you.

The burrow thing doesn’t work I keep getting stuck with one in a hole and one in the right place

Thanks for sticking with this one. Sorry to see these puzzles are rather tedious.
I had solved the fish puzzle, but then had to pause and come back later. When I did, the puzzle was once again jumbled—but it said it was already solved, and therefore wouldn’t let me solve it again, so I couldn’t follow the lines to determine which fish went with which shape. I had to restart the level just to see that. (And I couldn’t come here to see it; that part of walkthrough hadn’t been posted yet.) Frustrating puzzle flaw.
In chapter 4 because I played in the wrong sequence I think, I was not able to get the phone or do the flower pot puzzle. I put the phone on charge but I must have thrown the dog toy too soon, idk, but the table and everything on that first screen was unavailable all I could do was gone down the gopher tunnels.
