My Week Unwrapped: December 21, 2024 – Adventure in Wonderland, Milo and the Christmas Gift, Tile Tales Pirate, Monument Valley 3 and More

Hi everyone, and welcome back to My Week Unwrapped, where I discuss all the games I’ve been playing over the last seven days. I meant to publish this yesterday, but I was feeling a bit under the weather and decided to push it off a day. There were some solid releases this week, though for many of you I suspect you’ll be playing the new Adventure Escape game, which just became available for free. I already played it when it was part of the VIP package, but you can see my walkthrough here if you need it. I still have some other great games to discuss, though, so let’s get started.

Adventure in Wonderland

Adventure in Wonderland is the latest point-and-click adventure from Syntaxity. It’s based on Alice in Wonderland and you meet a lot of the same characters, including the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and Red Queen. It’s on the short side, but I still enjoyed it. I’ll probably play the sequel, Through the Looking Glass Adventure, when it releases. If you get stuck, I have a full walkthrough here.

Milo and the Christmas Gift

Milo and the Christmas Gift is a free spin-off from Milo and the Magpies that came out three years ago. This holiday game released on PC last year, but now mobile players finally have a chance to experience it. In case you don’t remember, Milo is a cat. And in this game, his family gets another pet, a rabbit named Toby. It’s very short but sweet and I can’t really complain about the length of a free game. There are also secrets to find and I show you how to get them all in my video below.

Tile Tales: Pirate

Tile Tales: Pirate is a new puzzle game that just released on mobile and has you sliding tiles around to create a path for a pirate. I’m actually really surprised how tricky this game got after just the first couple of levels. Trying to collect everything and also complete the levels in the minimum number of moves has been doing my head in. I only played a few levels and I’m not sure if I’ll stick with it, but if you like this kind of puzzle game, you should get plenty of mileage out of it. You can also see some gameplay in my video below.

Monument Valley 3

I already played through Monument Valley 3 last week, but now I completed my walkthrough with videos for each individual chapter. So if you’re stuck on any of them, use this guide.

Genshin Impact

And last, I’ve been trying to complete more of Natlan in Genshin Impact, though it’s getting harder to find chests and other things I’ve missed. There’s also an event right now that I’m enjoying, where you choose different enemies to join your team and then send them out to battle against other players. The next update is out in less than two weeks, though, and it brings with it more content, the Lantern Rite festival, and three new characters. So it’s a good time to come back to the game if you took a break.

And that’s everything I’ve been up to this week! I also saw Flow and September 5 in theaters and both were great, though very different movies. I also watched the first season of Miss Scarlet & the Duke but the rest is locked behind a subscription so it’ll have to wait for now. Instead I’m catching up on the Doctor Who episodes I missed, since they’re on Disney+. I love seeing Donna and David Tenant’s Doctor back together again! Anyway, let me know in the comments section what you’ve been playing and I’ll see you back here next time with more of My Week Unwrapped!
