Your House: A Hidden Truth
By: Patrones y Escondites
Your House is a prequel to unmemory, a text-based game that released in 2020. It has you playing as a woman named Debbie who is sent a key to a house, which she sets out to explore. There’s many secrets to discover, including how the house relates to her. It can be tricky at times, so this walkthrough guide should help if you get stuck. Feel free to ask for extra help in the comments section.

Chapter 5:
You can watch my video for Chapter 5 or continue below for my step-by-step guide:
1. We’re in the living room. The clock in the dining room strikes 5:30, so tap on the clock and change the time to 5:30.
2. Head to the basement. Someone’s in the house! Head to the living room. Then to the office. Then tap on runs out. And next, go to the kitchen and then the dining room. Tap on pulls to pull a cable.
3. The room goes dark. Throw something at him. Tap HERE to throw three different objects. I’m not sure if it matters where the HERE is. You want to make sure to hit the intruder with each one or you’ll have to start over.
4. Next, tap on concentrate. Listen to his steps. Wait until the word NOW turns green and then press it to knock him out.
5. Next, tap on bites. Then you have to press BITE and keep your finger on the word as it moves around.
6. Now we’re in the kitchen. Look at the ID cards in his wallet. He’s from your dad’s security firm! Head to the living room.
7. Pick up the broken picture frame and turn it around to the back. Tap each of the black pieces to open the back and remove it. There’s a key and a note with a piano on it that says p.23. Pick up the key using the button in the upper right corner.
8. Go back to the office and then to the piano room. You can look at the framed poster on the wall but we can’t do anything with it yet. We’ll come back to that. Keep reading and use the key to open the piano.
9. Go back to the text and tap on play to hear Debbie play the piano. Tap on stops when you’re ready for her to stop.
10. Next, tap on pulls out to look at three records. Pay attention to which letters are highlighted in yellow. Not the letters themselves, but the number they are. So for instance, in SHE’S NOT THERE, E is the 3rd letter, N is the 5th letter, and T is the 7th letter. It’s actually the same for all three records!
11. Tap on the image of the record player. Press the 3rd, 5th and 7th buttons to unlock it and uncover more slides for the viewmaster.
12. Tap on the words set of slides and then pick them up. Then tap on place to go back to the stereoscope in the dining room and then on looks to see the slides. The first one says, “Time Is On My Side” and has some sheet music. The next three slides show times on the clock. The first is 12:20, the second is 9:10, and the third is 6:20. The next slide shows the piano. And the final slide says YOUR NAME and more sheet music.
13. The clock is in the dining room with us, so look at it and set the dangling notes at the bottom so they match the sheet music from the first slide. You’ll then notice that all the numbers on the clock changed to letters.
14. If you change the time to each of the times you saw on the slides — 12:20, 9:10 & 6:20 — you end up with the letters DE BB IE, or DEBBIE.
15. Tap on the word out to go back to the piano room. Go to the piano and play the YOUR NAME tune. There’s no I on the piano, but the sheet music shows an A in its place. So play DEBBAE.
16. A panel opens up on the piano and there’s three buttons next to another button that says PLAY. Select 1 and then press PLAY and note down the notes the piano plays. Then do the same for 2 and 3. You get:
1 = EFDBACD
2 = ECABDFE
3 = BACDFE
17. Scroll down and look at the framed poster on the wall. There are six buttons on it and we need to figure out which four to press.
18. Keep reading and then tap the word page to see p.23 (remember the note inside the broken frame?) in the scrapbook. Fold the page to see that it’s telling you to subtract two of the symbols from all the others. So the ones that are left are the ones you press.
19. Now we have a safe with some letters on it. That’s where the three tunes come in. So here they are again:
1 = EFDBACD
2 = ECABDFE
3 = BACDFE
What you want to do is draw from letter to letter on the safe and then see what number the shape you drew makes. You end up with 9, 0, 5. So enter that into the safe, then press OPEN to open it and get one final cutscene.
Watch the cutscene and then read the epilogue and finish the game. Congratulations!
There’s also a phone number at the end. It’s 555-1034. I think it’s an Easter egg that’s not available yet.
