Chapter 4, The Observatory:

1. Find the fountain again and place the fourth pyramid on the white triangle. Take the leather-bound book.

2. Go through this doorway and find the book stand. Place the book on it to reveal a hidden doorway into an elevator (or lift).

You can also watch my video walkthrough of Chapter 4 here:

3. Turn the handle to “UP” and it will take you upstairs.

4. Go through the archway and light up all the bulbs again with the plus/minus puzzle. Pull the lever/switch by the window.

5. Flip all four switches on the tripod and press the button. Time for another radio. But first, read the Craftsman’s letter and pick up the screwdriver.

6. The radio device is missing its insides. So go back to the fountain and through this door. Use the screwdriver to remove the screw on the radio device in here and take the electrical component from inside.

7. Go back upstairs through the elevator and place the electrical component into the radio.

8. You’re now I’m what appears to be an observatory with a giant telescope. Turn this wheel to open the window and access the telescope.

9. Zoom in on the lens. It’s cracked and broken. Take it and discard it.

10. Look at the star chart over here. There’s a puzzle next to it. You need to rotate the different pieces to light up the four red orbs. Then take the etched glass disc.

11. Go to the table. There’s a round device. Move the toggle to open it and add the etched glass disc. Press the button to turn on the light, then rotate the discs to spell out “DRACO THE DRAGON” and form the dragon constellation. Make note of the locations of the red Suns. Take the crystal star.

12. Place the crystal star with the dragon constellation on the wall. It will start glowing. You can see the constellation using your eyepiece.

13. Remember the four red suns? Tap the blue stars in those spots and turn them red. Then take the scrap of parchment and telescope lens.

14. Go back to the table. Place the scrap of parchment on the piece with all the symbols. Slide the parchment down and find the knot that matches up with the he symbols in the middle. These are the two symbols you need to pay attention to.

15. Replace the lens on the telescope. Now, zoom in on the two wheels. One has a star on it and one has a moon on it. Match the symbols from the parchment decoder.

Grrr! Started this level with the pyramid from the forge. However, I’m stuck in the conservatory and do not have 360 range, can’t move or focus in on anything. Completely stuck. Help?

Did you try restarting the chapter? Someone else complained about that same bug today.

      1. Jean

Yes, I restarted the chapter, and I’m still stuck without full 360 degree view. Do you have any other advice?

          1. Katen

I have been stuck here for months. iOS updates, restarted chapter, nothing works.

Try pinching out; it had me stumped as well…

The photos of the telescope wheels here are CORRECT! I’ve been jammed on the observatory for longer than all the rest of the app!! Scroll up on this page & prepare to say, “YIPPEEEEE!!!” (The “star” wheel gets the “double c’s”-one inside the other–the moon wheel gets the “inverted stacked C’s” (about the only way I can explain it.) I LOVE these games but was nearly in tears over this last place. Good luck!!

No lens found, so no third sign on pedestal! Third Time this has happened

I’ve gotten all 3 of the symbols in the maze lit up and find myself at the portal showing the table with the elements as the walk-through depicts. The instructions in the walk-through seem to indicate that each of the symbols has to be found first, lit up, and then go around the maze to approach the table room from 3 different paths which will then activate shattering the glass. Am I reading that correctly? I tried to find a video of the maze trip as mentioned, but didn’t see one “below”. If I’m reading the instructions wrong, then is there a way to manipulate the view of the table so that the elements are lined up properly to cause the glass to shatter? Love these games!!

I do not have the hexagon wrench from the roof top podium and it is gone from the podium. How do I get IG now I did not follow steps exactly but help!

  5. Barbara

I am at the place where the third symbol would light up, but the second one did and I canΓÇÖt get the lens. What did I do wrong.

  6. Jenny

Can someone tell me how to fix that broken coconut on the table behind the telescope? I know it has something g to do with the podium in the courtyard you go inside the metal casing thing with your eyepiece and someway open those bars on those double doors across from the podium inside the room. I just forgot how to open those bars. Can someone help me? I’d like to find the last two pieces to complete the telescope, because THERE ARE two last pieces for the telescope. I am completely frustrated and lost. PLEASE SOMEONE! Help!
