Escape Game “Snow White”
By IDAC CO., LTD.
IDAC is not new to the room escape genre, but this is one of their higher quality games.
IDAC’s Snow White features the usual room escape controls. You use arrows to navigate the small cottage, search for items and solve puzzles in order to escape. The controls are simple and intuitive.
While the game has a fairy tale angle, and you play a girl who is supposed to be a version of Snow White, there isn’t much of a story here. But I do like how the different fairy tales are included in the game as clues.
In a huge step up from IDAC’s usual simple 2D graphics, Snow White features lush 3D graphics that capture the fairy tale feeling. Sadly, the game only takes up half the iPhone screen, so it’s not as immersive as it could be.
There is no music in this game, and the only sound effects come from the text and the sounds to let you know you’ve achieved something. While not being very immersive, these sounds are better than nothing.
Replay Value 1/5
This is a room escape game with no real incentive to play more than once. Just know before you buy it that you’ll be playing once and then will most likely be done with it.
With charming visuals and unique puzzles, Snow White is one of the better room escape games available in the app store. If you don’t mind spending the money on a one-time game, then you won’t be disappointed. But keep in mind, it is pretty short for a $2 game.
