The Room Three

This is a complete step-by-step walkthrough with hints, help, tips, tricks, answers and solutions for all the third alternate ending, Release, of The Room Three by Fireproof Games. Only read this if you don’t mind spoilers. Feel free to ask for extra help in the comments section.

Alternate Endings:
Tap on Change Your Fate in the menu. Now you’re back at the fountain. You need to find objects around Grey Holm manor that you can use to get the alternate endings. You should have the screwdriver and Craftsman’s Key at this point. **Note: These items don’t all go with you when you step through a portal. Don’t freak out when you notice them missing!
I’ll be taking you through all three endings starting with Release, the quicker one.

Ending 3, Release:
1. First, find the grandfather clock. It’s in the study from Chapter 1. If you equip your eyepiece, you can see that there’s a glow on 12, 3, 6 and 9. Every 15 minutes a slider will appear on the clock. Slide it to the right to open the clock and get a puzzle with the pendulum.

2. Put your eyepiece on for this. The pendulum will swing past three numbers — 4, 1, 2. You need to pull down each of the metal cylinders to those numbers. Then the clock face will open up and you can take the crystal.
3. Go through this door to the library and up the stairs. Close the Great Khan book (or poster box) and take the cubic metal object.
4. Go up the elevator to the atrium. There’s a locked safe up here. It turns out this trackball actually controls the chandelier like a pendulum. You need to move it back and forth, back and forth to gain momentum, then swing it at the back of the safe. It will drop down to the lower level and break open. Read the letter and take another crystal.
5. Go through this door and find this machine. Place the metal object on the square platform. This will release the handle. Move the handle to the left to power up the machine. Put on your eyepiece and use the arrows to turn the cube into a sphere. Press the middle button to eject it. You now have a sphere.
6. Add the two crystals to the one that’s already in the machine. Now you’ll have to solve another maze.
7. I found this a lot easier than the other maze. You basically go in the direction the arrow points you. You want it to eventually point north, and you’ll end up in front of a table. Take the mysterious artifact.
8. Notice the bottom of the artifact matches the indentation we saw in Chapter 5 right before entering the train. Go back and redo Chapter 5 like before, but don’t enter the train. Instead, place the artifact on the right projector. Open the eye hole like you did with the first one and enter using your eyepiece.
9. Solve this laser puzzle. You want to get two of the lasers pointing at the crystal while the others are all in the same position. Then, lock those two in place and rotate the other four. Press the button on top of the projector. The train will leave and a new portal will appear. Open the door and go through to see the “Release” ending.
I completed escape ending before release now I can’t access the clock. What do you if that happens?
I’m not sure why that happened. You can try restarting the chapter and begun with the clock to make sure you get the crystal you need.
I have experienced the same problem. The clock face was open and could not be closed, so Imtried to reset and now find myself at the very beginning!

After the boat sequence iΓö¼Γöñm stucked on 3rd ending for having formed the sphere first and now canΓö¼Γöñt take it off to form the cube with.
Can╬ô├╢┬╝╬ô├╢├▒t move the trackball to get let lamp swing and missed somehow to get the 3rd crystal for the machine in the lower floor… so the game doesn╬ô├╢┬╝╬ô├╢├▒t make sense anymore. Some advice?

Same issue here! I completed the first and second passes through the game without difficulty, but now find myself stuck because the sphere cannot be removed from the Khan book. How aggravating! Has anyone identified a fix, or will we need to start over?
no you don’t need to start over, all ending can be achieved by change fate, for for the pendulum you can move it slowly the trackball, touch the trackball, move to the back slowly hold and move forward slowly too, you’ll see the pendulum move little by little, for the sphere you just need remove once and change the shape with the machine, and place it back to the otherside of the book, it open something like opera stage. inside there using eyepiece you’ll see classic music box, need wax cylinder with already recorded music to operate it, it will open the box with token.
You don’t need to get the sphere. Go directly to the pendulum, open the lock, then go back to the greenhouse. Put the two crystals there, and go on.
I don’t have a trackball to move the pendulum. At what stage should I have acquired it?

You don’t acquire it. It’s part of the room.
You don’t need to find it, it is on the top floor (elevator up), go further to the rooms end and click on the banister, hold the ball for a moment and then start to swing… the lamp crashes the safe down then.

Thank you so much! I was really frustrated trying to find the second mysterious artifact after using no hints for the rest of the game. Thanks to your video, I got that artifact and then was able to figure out the last two alternate endings.
I forgot to finish the maze and get the second box thing before going through the door. Now I can’t go backwards and finish the last part and I can’t do anytthing else without it. Do I have to reset the game? I tried resetting the chapter but it just takes be through the door again. Kindle Fire HD7
The khan book is closed but there’s no cube do I need this before I go swing the pendulum into safe cannot open the book it’s shut tight
In the release ending I cannot get the lasers to align on the blue crystal ..is there a sequence
IΓÇÖve got the crystal from the clock & IΓÇÖve made a sphere. Got the wax cylinder from the gramophone. The trackball doesnΓÇÖt make the chandelier move. IΓÇÖve restarted twice, I think I get a mix of endings. Made a hole in the bricks. The cylinder & portal through the bricks arenΓÇÖt mentioned here. Help..
in the next ending it said to do this one to get any of the missing items. I cannot figure out how to get the coin to unlock the fortune teller.
