Sky: Children of the Light
The Season of Gratitude and the Season of Lighteekers are now behind us, but the Season of Belonging is has started. Instead of posting each day, I decided to show all the possible seasonal candle locations. The locations changed from last season, and are usually along the path of the seasonal spirits. There are four each day, which together add up to a full candle’s worth of wax. I’m not showing each day’s candles, but rather each set that’s possible for an area. If you see the first candle in a set, you’ll likely find the others. I also have other seasonal and candle guides here.
Seasonal Candle Locations
Season of Belonging
All the candles this season are near the seasonal spirit’s location. So that means the Prairie candles are by the butterfly fields.
All eight candles this season are in the Sunny Forest area, where you find the new caverns and the seasonal spirit.
Here’s how to get to the Sunny Forest area. It’s through a gate that requires all eight Hidden Forest spirits.
To get to the new caverns area in the forest, head left of the bridge and through the hole in a tree.
You’ll then encounter a platform that two or more people need to stomp on to get through. Or it might be open already and then you’ll just see a hole. Note that while it’s fun to drop down, you can take damage from hitting walls. So try and slow down.
The seasonal candles are in this area.
The first candle is by the jars of butterflies.
Release the butterflies from the jars and use them to fly up. Use the glowing mushroom caps to get up to the platform and go through the hole to see the main caverns area.
For the second candle, fly up and to the right, to a locked door. There’s a candle right in front of the door.
The next one is on the small structure you can see if you look down from the entry point to this area.
Use the butterflies and jellyfish and mushroom caps to get up to little cave opening in the lumpy mountain. The fourth candle is on that outcropping.
The first candle bunch is right where you drop down, on a little hill.
Use the butterflies to get up to the main area, as shown for Set 1.
The next one is on the small pillar in the center of the caverns area.
The next is on the stairs above, on the other side of the door where you found one of the candles in Set 1.
And the last is on the main mountain, the one you travel up to get to the exit of this area. You use some butterflies inside to get up to a little hole and that’s where it is.
Valley of Triumph:
All the seasonal candles are inside the maze inside the stadium at the end of the race. It’s where you find the seasonal spirit when it’s finally there. You need one other seasonal spirit in order to go through the gate.
And all eight candles are inside there. Just follow the spirit’s path.
This map some nice player named @sky_tea11 made should help you find all the candles.
Follow the path to the big open room to find the first candle.
For the next candle, take the right staircase up and go through the next opening. Follow the path until you see a spiral staircase. The candle is on the staircase itself.
Continue up the spiral staircase and follow the path. Then drop down into the crab pit. Take the next staircase up and then drop down into the next crab pit to find the next candle.
Continue along the path back to the first big room and take the left staircase up. Follow the path to get the fourth candle.
For the first one, you’ll see it if you just follow the path from the entrance.
For the next one, continue along the path until you come to the main room. Head up the right staircase and go through the opening. Follow the path until you see another staircase. Take it up to the next floor. You’ll come to another opening with a crab pit below. Look down to see the second bunch on the stairs below.
For the third, go up the stairs you just found the last bunch on. You’ll see another opening that drops down to a second crab pit with more crabs. Drop down and get the third bunch of candles.
Continue along the path back to the main room. This time, take the left staircase up. Go through the opening and continue along the path to a ramp-like staircase. The last candle bunch is near the Winged Light.
All eight candles are in the graveyard/boneyard with the four krill/dark dragons. If you head towards the back right, near the catapult, there’s a new bonfire with some large crabs roasting on a spit. That’s where the candles start.
Here’s a tip: Find the winged light that’s high up on a ledge not far from the crab spit. Look from up there for the candles, since the krill can’t reach you there. Then swoop down, get it and fly back up to safety and recharge from the wing. Then look for the next. You can actually see most of them from that spot.
One is in the campfire/crab spit.
You can see the next two from the same spot above the campfire. The big plant is between them.
And the fourth is close to the exit that leads to the battlefield.
The second is near the crab pit. You can see it if you get up on one of the cliffs nearby.
The next can be seen from the safe spot above with the Winged Light.
And the last is the headrest to see from above.
Vault of Knowledge:
For this season, the seasonal candles are by the seasonal spirit, which you get to through a two-person door at the Vault entrance. Just look up to your right, near the home portal, and you should see it. There’s a gate inside that requires one seasonal spirit to get through.
Just follow the path to find the candles.
Use the floating platform to get up to the opening and then follow the path to find the next candle.
Keep following the path for the next one. It’s at the bottom of some stairs.
And for the last, keep following the path down another flight of stairs, through some crabs.
Use the floating platform to get up to the opening to find the first candle for the day.
The next one is at the top of a staircase.
